Job Description

Seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for the Float Pool at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Ideal candidates have strong Med/Surg, Telemetry, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and tracheostomy care experience. Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients. Manage Med/Surg and Telemetry patients with complex medical conditions. Perform cardiac monitoring and interpret/manage dysrhythmias . Provide comprehensive tracheostomy care and management . Administer medications and monitor patient responses. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and support rapid response needs. Float across units according to facility needs and clinical competency. Requirements Minimum 2 years of RN experience - HARD
STOP BLS
required ACLS preferred CPI preferred; facility does not offer CPI Strong Telemetry/Cardiac Monitoring experience Dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience Tracheostomy care/management experience Previous float experience strongly preferred Schedule Details 3x12-hour day shifts: 6:45 AM-7:15 PM Patient ratio: 1:6 Floating required Weekend coverage: Per facility needs Locals accepted First-time travelers accepted; candidates with 4+ years of experience and strong float experience may be considered 1 RTO request permitted Auto Offer Apply Today - Qualified Medical Surgical RNs with strong Telemetry and Float Pool experience are encouraged to apply!
