A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Job Description
- Responsible for assisting with professional nursing care for SIH patients. Education
- N/A Licenses and Certification
- Completion of Illinois approved CNA training program and passed a written competency test or has successfully completed a nursing arts course (E.g., Basis in Nursing, Fundamentals in Nursing, Nursing 101, etc)
- BLS Experience and Skills
Technical Experience:
NA Role Specific Responsibilities- Assists nursing staff with patient care activities such as but not limited to obtaining patients vital signs, intake and output, bathing, feeding, toileting etc.
- Assists in medical emergencies, including CPR
- Complete, accurate and timely documentation in patient medical record
- Timely communication of changes in patient condition to the Registered Nurse and/or Licensed Practical Nurse
- Timely completion of delegated tasks from Registered Nurse
- Serve as an advocate for the patient by communicating and collaborating with other health service personnel
- Timely completion of required education and competencies
- Cross train to telemetry tech if applicable to department needs Compensation (Commensurate with experience): $19.
