Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a positive impact each day at a lively elementary school setting, where your skills and dedication will be valued by both students and staff. Starting as soon as possible and running through the school year until late May, this contract opportunity is perfect for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or a CSN student ready to contribute in a dynamic, inclusive environment. As the lead nurse in the health office, you'll be central to student wellness while working independently and as an integral part of a supportive, collegial team. The position also provides a wonderful chance to grow professionally within an engaged educational community.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse; more than just an RN license is required Currently enrolled CSN students are welcome to apply Comfortable with electronic health systems and documentation Strong independence and initiative, balanced by a collaborative, team-focused approach Flexibility and dependability are essential Experience as a CSN and/or bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are highly advantageous
Responsibilities:
Manage the health office and provide day-to-day medical support for students and staff Complete medical reviews and participate actively in IEP and 504 processes Utilize and maintain accurate electronic health records Support students' personal care needs as part of a shared team responsibility Provide consistent, reliable attendance throughout the contracted school year Compensation for this role ranges from $85-$98 per hour, based on years of CSN experience and bilingual skills.
