Qualifications and Credentials:

Current Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation License for Registered Nurses Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsed for School Nurse (CSN) only candidates with CSN licensure will be considered Experience delivering nursing services within school settings preferred Comprehensive understanding of state and federal health regulations impacting schools Skilled in confidential communication, documentation, and collaboration with diverse school communities

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Deliver professional oversight and guidance across the district, ensuring compliance with all health and safety standards Provide consultation and training to school staff regarding health plans, medical protocols, and emergency procedures Oversee student health records, immunization compliance, and medication administration processes Serve as a resource for families, students, and staff regarding acute and chronic health conditions Participate in the development and implementation of district-wide health programs and policies This contract position involves approximately 10 hours each month, making it a perfect fit for professionals seeking flexibility and balance alongside a meaningful role.
