Qualifications & Requirements:

Active Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Valid School Nurse Professional Educator License (PEL) with Certified School Nurse endorsement; CSN licensure required. Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued. Demonstrated ability to oversee programs at the district level and communicate effectively with school administrators, teachers, and parents. Exceptional organizational skills and commitment to health advocacy in the school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive oversight of nursing services throughout the district, acting as the clinical authority on all student health matters. Conduct and administer screenings, develop individualized health care plans, and monitor compliance with state and district health regulations. Train and support staff on health protocols and emergency response procedures. Maintain health documentation and ensure confidentiality of student records. Serve as a liaison between the school, families, and local healthcare providers to facilitate ongoing care and support.
