Job Description

Olympia Fields Hospital seeks an Internal Registry RN to provide high-quality, flexible bedside care across multiple inpatient units. In this role, you'll deliver comprehensive assessments, medication administration, and care coordination while floating to areas of greatest need. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, support quality and safety initiatives, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and care planning for diverse inpatient populations. Coordinate and document patient care in the internal float/registry pool, adapting to various units as assigned. Collaborate with physicians, allied health staff, and care teams to deliver safe, evidence-based care. Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly to emergencies. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions. Maintain accurate, timely electronic health records and follow hospital policies and regulatory standards. Support quality, safety, and infection-prevention initiatives across assigned units. Precept and support newer nurses, contributing to a learning-focused environment. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and handoffs to ensure continuity of care.
