A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Nurses needed to visit patients:
Private Duty Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care to elderly, Children and/or disabled patients Assess patient needs and develop corresponding treatment plans Monitor patient status and notify office staff and supervising physician of significant changes Communicate with supervising physicians and other members of the care team to provide effective care Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on their conditions, diagnoses, medications, and treatments Ensure patient records are accurate and complete Serve as a patient advocate and provide advice and support to the patient and his/her family Record a patient's medical history accurately Monitor patients' condition including fluid intake and output and compose patient charts Provide emotional and psychological support when needed Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
Qualifications:
Previous nursing experience or Entry-level Strong communication skills and ability to teach Must be trustworthy, friendly, and dependable Strong understanding of nursing, medical skills, and care plans Must be self-motivated and able to work well independently
MUST HAVE A VALID ILLINOIS LICENSE FOR RN / LPN
Must have VENT experience. Skills Proven experience as RN/LPN or similar role or Entry-level Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work with a multidisciplinary team Understanding of confidentiality obligations and nursing best practices Excellent knowledge of medical and hospital terminology Good physical condition and stamina Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and able to handle stress Successful completion of RN/LPN licenses program is a must
