Job Description

Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a Certified School Nurse supporting middle and elementary schools in a contract, onsite role. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic educational environment, collaborating with dedicated nursing teams across four school locations. You'll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of students while assisting with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and developing student medical emergency plans.
Key Qualifications:
Active Illinois Certified School Nurse (CSN) license required Background in school nursing, supporting IEPs, and emergency medical planning strongly preferred Flexible and adaptive with strong communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with RNs and interdisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
Partner with onsite RNs at one middle and three elementary schools Provide supplemental support by flexing across multiple school locations as needed Participate in student IEP meetings, providing insights on medical needs and accommodations Assist with the development and implementation of student medical emergency plans Maintain accurate student health records and documentation in collaboration with the nursing staff Contribute to a safe, supportive, and health-focused educational environment This contract opportunity features a full-time, onsite schedule and offers you the ability to make a meaningful impact while expanding your expertise in school nursing.
