Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract An exciting opportunity is available for a Certified School Nurse (CSN) or a CSN student near Naperville, IL. This long-term contract position is based at a thriving elementary school renowned for its supportive administration, dynamic staff, and strong commitment to student well-being. The role offers a consistent weekday schedule from 8:25 a.m. to 3:40 p.m., with responsibilities tied closely to the school calendar through late May 2027. In this role, you will manage the health office, conduct comprehensive medical reviews, and actively engage in the development and documentation of health-related plans (IEPs and 504s) using an electronic health record system. The position may also include providing personal care to students, reinforcing the importance of flexibility and a collaborative mindset within the school community.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) with a Professional Educator License (PEL) endorsement for Certified School Nurse (CSN) required Completion of, or current enrollment in, CSN courses (typically a one- to two-year process) Recent school nursing experience, specifically as a CSN, is highly desirable Bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are a strong advantage Proven ability to work independently and as an effective team member Comfort with technology and electronic documentation Commitment and reliability for the duration of the school year
