Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Bring your expertise as a School RN to a fulfilling contract assignment serving two dynamic Chicago campuses! This on-site nursing position provides an opportunity to work closely with approximately 500 students at each location. Your skills and recent school nursing experience will directly support educational communities and help create a safe, healthy environment where students thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Active RN license with recent, direct experience as a School Nurse Strong understanding of school health protocols and student support services Excellent communication and organization skills to manage multiple priorities across two campuses Ability to respond calmly and effectively in medical emergencies Reliable means of transportation; comfortable managing the commute between both sites in
Chicago Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, compassionate nursing care to students and staff on both campuses Conduct routine health assessments, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions as directed by physician orders and care plans Maintain accurate and confidential health records according to school guidelines Collaborate closely with educators, school counselors, and families to support individualized student health needs Promote wellness and preventive care through educational initiatives and outreach As a key team member in this role, you'll benefit from consistent weekly hours (37.5 per week), serving vibrant student populations while enjoying the variety and impact of working across two locations.
