Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract A full-time contract opportunity awaits for a skilled RN to step in as a school nurse and provide essential care and support during a maternity leave coverage. Based near Orland Park, IL, this temporary assignment involves working across two school locations, offering your expertise to students and staff at the start of the upcoming academic year. Qualifications and Experience:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois is required Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly desired Strong assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with school staff Compliance with state immunization and health documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily health care to students and respond to acute medical needs Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders Maintain accurate health records, documentation, and communication with families Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with special needs Support health screenings, immunization compliance, and health education initiatives Serve as a trusted resource for health-related concerns within the school community This temporary contract position is expected to last approximately 2-3 months, depending on the duration of the maternity leave, with an anticipated onboarding start date of July 20th.
