Working with approximately 500 students, youll be at the center of fostering a safe, nurturing, and healthy environment for children in grades K-8.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois Completion of an accredited nursing program Previous school nursing experience is valued, but not required Candidates transitioning from clinical roles should be prepared to share their motivation for moving into school-based care A clear understanding that compensation for school nursing may differ from clinical settings Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills Ability and willingness to commute to the Waukegan campus locationplease consider and confirm your comfort with the commute

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver direct nursing care to students for illness, injuries, and management of chronic conditions Develop and implement individualized health plans as needed Monitor immunizations, perform health screenings, and maintain accurate health records Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote student wellness Respond to health emergencies and support the school community through education and advocacy Enjoy a professional setting where youll have stable hours and the unique opportunity to impact lives day after day.
