Qualifications:
Active, unencumbered RN license Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in Interventional Radiology Proficiency in IR protocols, patient preparation, and post-procedural care BLS and ACLS certifications (current and valid) Strong IV therapy and moderate sedation skills Ability to work collaboratively with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals Excellent critical thinking and communication abilities Experience with electronic medical records and charting
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver skilled nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures Prepare patients, ensuring comfort, safety, and clear communication of procedure expectations Assist physicians and technologists throughout diagnostic and therapeutic IR procedures Monitor patients for changes in condition, providing immediate interventions as necessary Administer conscious sedation and monitor for potential complications Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements Educate patients and families, offering reassurance and addressing care instructions post-procedure Ensure proper infection prevention, safety, and sterile technique in all aspects of care This role offers an engaging environment for clinically passionate RNs whose expertise supports outstanding patient outcomes and the dynamic workflow of interventional radiology.
