Job Description

Category Nursing - RN - EP Job Type Contract Step into a pivotal nursing role providing specialized care within the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab on a contract basis. This opportunity focuses on supporting cardiac procedures and ensuring patient well-being by utilizing advanced EP nursing skills in a dynamic hospital setting.
Schedule/Hours:
Day shift: 1DD, every other weekend required On-call rotation for
EP:
Saturday and Sunday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm (no overnight on-call) One late night shift per week (up to 8:00 pm), as needed
Qualifications:
Current and active Illinois RN license Minimum 1 year of direct Electrophysiology Lab RN experience BLS certification (current and valid) EP Lab experience is mandatory Must meet distance requirements: candidates must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced EP Lab environment Collaborate closely with physicians and cardiac care teams during electrophysiology procedures Monitor, assess, and document patient responses before, during, and after procedures Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with patient recovery post-procedure Take scheduled on-call duties, ensuring high-level readiness to support after-hours patient needs Uphold strict infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
