Job Description

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago seeks an Internal Registry RN to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across varied hospital units. This flexible role supports staffing needs, performing assessments, administering medications, coordinating treatment plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The RN will educate patients and families, document accurately in the EMR, and uphold safety, infection control, and hospital policies. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care across multiple inpatient units based on staffing needs Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in condition Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on patient care Document all care and interventions in the EMR in a timely, accurate manner Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times Respond promptly to emergencies and participate in rapid response efforts Participate in ongoing professional development and competency training Required Skills Patient assessment Medication administration IV therapy and phlebotomy Electronic Medical Records (EMR) documentation Care planning and coordination Clinical triage and prioritization Infection control practices Telemetry and vital sign monitoring Patient and family education Emergency response and CPR/BLS
