9683292-60586 Job Description Make a meaningful difference in a young student's academic journey by providing essential nursing support in a vibrant educational environment. This rewarding part-time contract role calls for a dedicated School RN to assist a 5-year-old male kindergarten student as he begins his first school experience. You'll work closely with his 1:1 paraeducator in a general education resource classroom, ensuring his safety and wellbeing while he adjusts to a new and exciting chapter.

Key Qualifications:

Current RN license valid in Illinois Prior experience in a school setting or with pediatric care Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Compassion and patience for supporting students transitioning to the school environment Ability to collaborate with staff, families, and paraprofessionals Comfort with uncertainty, as diagnosis and wheelchair needs are still being determined

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide attentive, personalized care for the assigned student two days per week (Tuesdays and Fridays) Monitor health status and respond promptly to any emerging needs Coordinate with the classroom team to promote inclusion and student wellbeing Maintain accurate health records and communicate any changes to appropriate stakeholders Stay adaptable as more information about student needs becomes available throughout the school year
