This full-time role includes assisting during bus rides to and from school, so reliability and strong communication skills are key.

Desired Background and Qualifications:

Current RN or LPN/LVN license in Illinois Pediatric experience (particularly in a school setting) strongly preferred Proficiency with suctioning procedures and comfortable operating a vibrating vest Experience with oxygen administration and supportive respiratory care Strong observational skills for monitoring sleep apnea Genuine compassion, professionalism, and patience

Core Responsibilities:

Provide ongoing, 1:1 direct care for a wheelchair-bound student throughout the school day Perform required suctioning every two hours and manage respiratory equipment Monitor and address students sleep apnea and oxygen needs Accompany the student on the bus, ensuring safety during transport to and from school Communicate effectively with teachers, aides, and parents regarding the students status Respond swiftly and appropriately to any medical needs that arise This contract role is an excellent opportunity to work in a rewarding school setting while supporting a students educational journey.
