Job Description

Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in a vibrant school environment by providing holistic health support to students, staff, and families. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, with a 37.5-hour workweek and an emphasis on in-person collaboration. As a valued health professional, you'll manage the school health office, conduct medical reviews, and play a pivotal role in IEP and 504 meetings. Collaboration and a flexible, team-focused attitude are essential, as the school community values professionals who support and uplift one another for the benefit of student wellbeing.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), with a PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse Strong experience as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) highly preferred Bilingual Spanish-speaking abilities are a considerable advantage Excellent communication, organizational, and time management abilities Reliability, strong attendance, and readiness to consistently support school operations Positive, flexible mindset and a dedication to teamwork
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the health office, ensuring a safe, responsive environment for students and staff Complete timely, thorough medical reviews and documentation as required Engage actively in IEP and 504 processes, providing valuable input and supporting student plans Collaborate with education staff, families, and other stakeholders to promote student health and learning Adapt to dynamic settings and shifting daily needs with professionalism and a solutions-oriented approach You'll gain invaluable experience, build collaborative relationships, and contribute meaningfully to student success in an inclusive, supportive setting.
