Job Description

Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding contract opportunity within a dynamic school environment, supporting students' well-being as a dedicated Registered Nurse. In this role, you'll manage the health office and play a crucial part in fostering a healthy, inclusive school environment. From the first day of the academic year in August to the last in May, you'll be an essential member of the student support team, working full-time hours.
Key qualifications and desired experience:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) Certified School Nurse (CSN) status with a PEL endorsement Previous school-based nursing experience strongly preferred Bilingual skills in Spanish are highly valued Strong commitment to teamwork and ability to effectively collaborate with diverse staff Flexible mindset, willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the school community Excellent communication skills and attention to detail Responsibilities will include: Overseeing the daily operation of the school health office and maintaining accurate records Conducting thorough medical reviews for students Active participation in IEP (Individualized Education Program) and 504 plan processes, ensuring all students' health needs are met within their educational plans Responding to health emergencies and routine concerns with professionalism and compassion Serving as a health resource for students, staff, and families Supporting a safe and healthy school environment through prevention, education, and intervention You'll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in students' educational experience while working alongside supportive colleagues.
