Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and impactful role as a Certified School Nurse (CSN) supporting multiple educational sites throughout the full academic year. In this contract opportunity, you'll collaborate with a dedicated nursing team, ensuring students and staff receive the highest standard of healthcare and advocacy. Your leadership and clinical expertise will empower building nurses across four schools—each with their own on-site RN. You'll play a vital role in maintaining health services continuity while bringing your knowledge to support special education processes.
Key Qualifications:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required Previous experience in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to navigate diverse health needs, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain meticulous documentation
Primary Responsibilities:
Serve as a resource and mentor to building nurses in all four schools, offering guidance and support as needed Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as a medical representative, contributing your expertise to student plans Complete comprehensive medical reviews to support special education evaluations and service planning Manage the completion of initial assessments and reevaluations—no ongoing caseload required Foster a safe and healthy school environment, supporting best-practice standards in student care Immerse yourself in a collaborative and mission-driven setting, where your skills contribute directly to student success and well-being. This full-time contract runs the duration of the school year and offers stability, professional growth, and a supportive work culture.
