Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive bedside nursing care to LTAC patients with complex and chronic conditions Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and facility protocols Continuously monitor and assess patient status, documenting assessments and interventions accurately Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans Provide patient and family education on treatments, recovery, and ongoing care needs Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards to ensure excellent patient outcomes Use critical thinking to respond to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns promptly Maintain accurate EMR documentation, reports, and shift handoffs Support a culture of respect, integrity, and patient-centered care aligned with Gifted Healthcare values Adapt to varying shifts and unit needs in a fast-paced LTAC environment Required Skills Long-term acute care nursing Complex patient assessment Medication administration Ventilator and respiratory support basics Wound care management IV therapy and central line care Telemetry and continuous monitoring Electronic medical records (EMR) documentation Care planning and interdisciplinary collaboration Infection prevention and safety protocols
