A school near Yorkville, IL is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to provide essential care and support for a kindergarten student throughout the full academic year. This contract, part-time role calls for a compassionate nurse prepared to assist on-site two days per weekTuesdays and Fridayswith a focus on 1:1 care for a five-year-old student just starting his educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing support within a general education resource classroom alongside a dedicated paraeducator. Assess and monitor the students daily medical and care needs, adapting as information evolves (diagnosis and mobility status are still pending). Collaborate closely with school staff and the paraeducator to create a safe, supportive classroom environment. Remain vigilant to changes in the students condition and communicate any concerns promptly. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of care provided in accordance with school and nursing standards.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Current RN license in Illinois with active, unrestricted status. Prior experience working with young children or in a school setting is highly valued, though all caring and organized candidates will be considered. Strong ability to adapt and respond calmly in changing situations. Clear communication and documentation skills. Professionalism and empathy in working with students, school staff, and families.

Additional Details:

2 days per week (Tuesdays/Fridays), spanning the full school year. Interview opportunities available as soon as possible.
