Category Schools - RN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting a vibrant elementary school community close to Zion, IL. This role is perfect for a Registered Nurse with school experience who is comfortable navigating a fast-paced environment and adept at handling a variety of high-priority situations. Your primary responsibility will be delivering comprehensive nursing care to students and staff, prioritizing their health and safety each day. This position is onsite and runs through the end of the school year, concluding on June 4th.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active RN license in Illinois Direct experience in a school nursing setting Strong clinical judgment and crisis intervention skills Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with protocols for common elementary school health concerns
Key Responsibilities:
Triage and respond to student and staff health needs as they arise Implement and document health care plans for students with chronic conditions Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student wellbeing Administer medications and provide first aid according to school protocols Educate students, staff, and families on relevant health topics Maintain confidential and accurate health records Support compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations Enjoy the opportunity to build connections and provide essential care in a community-focused elementary school.
