Ideal Qualifications:
Active RN license with previous school-based nursing experience required Strong assessment, critical thinking, and triage skills Familiarity with common childhood illnesses and chronic conditions Ability to stay organized and perform efficiently in a fast-paced setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for work with students, staff, and families Comfort supporting many health concerns, emergencies, and interventions during the school day
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver direct nursing care, including medication administration and management of chronic and acute conditions Respond effectively to student injuries and urgent medical situations Maintain accurate health records and documentation Support teachers and staff with health-related concerns Collaborate in crisis and emergency response planning Educate students and staff about wellness, hygiene, and preventive health Uphold all school health and safety policies This contract runs through early June, offering valuable school hours (35 per week) that promote work-life balance.
