Job Description
On-Call Registered Nurse (7 On / 7 Off) After-hours support. Mostly remote. Critical impact. The On-Call Registered Nurse provides after-hours triage, clinical guidance, and urgent in-person visits as needed for hospice patients receiving care in home or facility settings, supporting comfort, safety, and continuity of care. Help optimize the capital structure and support strategic initiatives. Maintains the agency's mission, philosophy and core values. Ensures compliance with agency policies and procedures regarding operations/processes, including but not limited to those regarding patient care, patient complaints, incidents, safety and emergency management. Always maintains patient confidentiality, including all HIPAA regulations. Regulatory Requirements Licensed or registered in the state in which he/she currently practices.. Must pass a criminal background check & MVR check. Completed health statement acknowledging ability to perform the duties of the position. Valid state driver's license. Proof of current automobile insurance. Current CPR card; On-line CPR certification accepted; Hands-on CPR certification preferred. TB testing per agency policy; (1 or 2 step TB skin test within 12 months of hire & annual TB symptom screening thereafter). Industry experience Ability to work independently, make accurate, and at times, quick judgments. Ability to supervise others appropriately. Ability to respond appropriately to crisis outside of a hospital setting. Acceptance of and adaptability to different social, racial, cultural and religious modes. Completes Hospice training program. Active patient contact within past three years, preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience as a registered nurse, preferredEDUCATION
