What they do

A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

In This Role You Will:
Provide comprehensive nursing care in accordance with individualized care plans Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of residents' health status Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately Monitor vital signs and report changes promptly to the healthcare team Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to develop effective care plans Coordinate and oversee resident care and services within the nursing department Provide health education and support to residents and families Promote independence, dignity, respect, and resident safety Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulations Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff and team members

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and a valid, unrestricted RN license in the state Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills CPR and other relevant certifications as required Knowledge of geriatric nursing principles
