Job Overview:

The Registered Nurse (RN) will play a critical role in providing safe, effective, and patient-centered care for individuals experiencing mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and co-occurring challenges. This role requires clinical expertise, strong communication skills, and a commitment to supporting patients through stabilization and recovery.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor client health status throughout treatment.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.
• Provide education and support to clients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, behavioral health technicians, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Respond to medical and psychiatric emergencies with professionalism and clinical competence.
• Document all client care, interventions, and progress in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Support detoxification protocols, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and ensure client safety during stabilization.
• Participate in care planning meetings and contribute to individualized treatment plans.
• Promote a therapeutic environment that emphasizes dignity, safety, and recovery-focused care.

Requirements:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana (required).
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
• Prior experience in behavioral health, psychiatric nursing, or substance use treatment strongly preferred.
• Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced inpatient environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
