Our facilities specialize in skilled nursing, post-acute care, Alzheimer's and dementia care, and outpatient therapy across multiple states, emphasizing personalized patient care and staff development. Overview Lane House is seeking a dedicated RN Staff Development Coordinator to lead our nursing education and training initiatives. This vital role involves designing and implementing comprehensive training programs to enhance clinical skills, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and promote professional growth among nursing staff. The ideal candidate will possess extensive nursing experience across various settings and demonstrate a passion for teaching and mentorship. Responsibilities Develop, coordinate, and deliver ongoing education programs tailored to the needs of nursing staff, including new hire orientation and continuing education. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to healthcare standards, including HIPAA requirements for patient privacy. Evaluate staff competency through assessments, observations, and performance reviews to identify areas for improvement. Maintain accurate documentation of training activities, certifications, and employee progress in medical records systems. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate clinical best practices into staff training modules. Stay current with advancements in medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and acute care practices to inform educational content. Promote a positive learning environment that encourages professional development, teamwork, and high-quality patient care. Experience Candidates should have substantial nursing experience in diverse clinical environments such as critical care units (ICU), hospital settings—including teaching hospitals—and skilled nursing or long-term care facilities. Prior experience in pediatrics, home care, or adult education is highly desirable. A strong understanding of medical documentation processes, medical records management, and healthcare regulations is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in medical terminology, physiology knowledge, anatomy principles, and patient care standards. Experience with training & development initiatives within healthcare settings is preferred to effectively support staff growth and compliance efforts.
