Mission Behavioral Health Hospital is a 16-bed geriatric psychiatric hospital in Huntingburg, IN! Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse Join our team at Mission Behavioral Health as a Registered Nurse, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within our brand new, geriatric psychiatric hospital. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled individual with expertise in various nursing functions such as patient assessment, medication administration, and adherence to healthcare standards to provide high-quality nursing care to our patients.
Job Overview:
As a Nurse at Mission Behavioral Health, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards. You will work in a dynamic healthcare environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Duties:
  • Perform accurate patient assessments and nursing procedures
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Maintain patient health records and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Provide patient and family education on disease management, treatment plans, and post-discharge care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
Qualifications:
  • Valid RN or LPN license required and BLS certification preferred
  • Experience in psychiatric nursing or relevant clinical setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of dementia care, pain management, and adherence to healthcare standards
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing patient needs
