Job Description

Job Description Join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional surgical care and creating a seamless experience for patients from preparation through recovery. As a Surgery Care RN, you will play a key role in guiding patients through same-day surgical procedures, combining clinical expertise, critical thinking, and compassionate care to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. What You'll Do Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing same-day surgical procedures. Perform pre-operative assessments, including reviewing medical history, vital signs, laboratory results, medication history, and consent verification. Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, recovery, discharge instructions, and follow-up care. Coordinate individualized plans of care and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor and care for patients during Phase II post-anesthesia recovery, including pain management and discharge readiness. Supervise and delegate care as appropriate while advocating for patient safety and positive outcomes. Accurately document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient progress. Required Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or another compact licensure state. Preferred BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
