1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with circulate and PACU experience for a short-term acute care hospital, requiring at least 2 years of OR nursing experience and an active IN or compact RN license. Details Work in the Operating Room department of a short-term acute care hospital with 104 staffed beds Day shift schedule of 4x10 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday Call requirements include a minimum of one weekend per month (Friday 16:30 through Monday 06:00) and one weekday per week Floating within scope may be required to meet facility needs, limited to task assignments only Uses Meditech charting system Case types may include gynecology, orthopedic, neurology, general surgery, podiatry, ENT, urology, and endoscopic procedures Uses equipment such as electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, Hana table, and Steris systems Requirements Active IN RN license or compact license required Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS required; NIHSS preferred Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required Circulate and PACU experience required C-section experience required Familiarity with orthopedic procedures required Community hospital experience preferred Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility No parking costs for staff Candidates may float to an affiliate hospital nearby depending on volume and census Maximum RTO is 7 days, and time off during holidays requires willingness to work at least 1 of 3 designated holidays Up to 8 hours of onboarding modules preferred to be completed within 1 week of signing Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 years before returning as a traveler First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates are accepted, with candidates considered local if residing within 50 miles of the hospital
