A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Description

Responsibilities Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and admissions. Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care. Provide skilled nursing services in patients' homes. Administer medications, treatments, and wound care as ordered. Monitor patient progress and communicate changes to physicians and the interdisciplinary team. Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medications, and home care. Accurately complete all clinical documentation in a timely manner. Participate in case conferences and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, Indiana State Department of Health regulations, and agency policies. Provide on-call coverage as scheduled (if applicable). Qualifications Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Current CPR certification. Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance. Ability to travel to patient homes within the service area. Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in home health is preferred but not required. Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) is preferred. $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
