A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

This role is critical in assisting providers and coworkers in coordinating patient care as well as functions as a liaison between patients, coworkers, and providers.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Hours/days:
Monday-Friday 730am-430pm Provide direct patient care, rooming patients, taking vitals, obtain medical history, administer vaccines, injections, medications, phlebotomy, point of care testing, medication reconciliation, starting IVs, triage, assisting with procedures, and conduct rounds with providers. Exceptional service to those we are privileged to serve including internal and external customers, via phone, electronic and in person. Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills on multiple levels. Analysis and critical thinking to support provider. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on diagnosis, medications, procedures, treatment plans and chronic care management. Initiate and follow through on prior authorizations, referrals, and medication refills. Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Associate's Degree Nursing/Patient Care Preferred Bachelor's Degree Nursing/Patient Care Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board
