36 hours/week | 12-hour shifts | 3 days/week Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in an Observation Unit . The RN will perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications and treatments, monitor changes in patient condition, coordinate admissions and discharges, and provide education to patients and families. The ideal candidate should have strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, prioritization, communication, and patient-care skills and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments within RN scope of practice. Identify patient risk factors, presenting complaints, and priority needs. Develop and implement individualized patient care plans. Administer medications and perform treatments and procedures safely. Perform IV therapy, wound care , and other nursing procedures as appropriate. Monitor and document patient responses to treatments and therapies. Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition. Prioritize care for multiple patients based on patient acuity and clinical needs. Delegate appropriate tasks and oversee delegated patient care. Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges. Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, procedures, and discharge instructions. Coordinate care with Case Management and interdisciplinary team members. Utilize medical equipment and technology appropriately. Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities . Support initiatives related to patient satisfaction, falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Promote a positive, respectful, and healing environment. Follow hospital policies, professional nursing standards, evidence-based practices, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications Strong patient assessment and clinical skills. Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse (RN) Observation Unit experience . Experience or proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy, and wound care . Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple patients in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams. Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and healthcare regulations. Education ADN or ASN required. BSN preferred. Required Licensure & Certifications Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state. Current BLS certification .Pay:
$50.00- $55.
