Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for our PreOp & Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of trauma medicine, medical documentation, and patient care in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center is highly desirable. Responsibilities Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition post-surgery, ensuring their safety and comfort. Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous (IV) lines. Provide thorough medical documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure seamless transitions from the operating room to recovery. Educate patients and their families about post-operative care and recovery processes. Respond promptly to any changes in patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice. Previous experience in a PACU or similar nursing environment preferred. Familiarity with trauma medicine, cardiac catheterization, and esthetic laser treatment is a plus. Experience working with individuals with disabilities is beneficial. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team. Proficient in medical documentation practices and electronic health records.
