1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 1-2 years of critical care experience and IN or compact RN licensure. Details Work in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit within a 72-bed hospital Critical Care and Progressive Care unit caring for vent-dependent patients Responsibilities include vent management, IV drips, IV sedation, and occasional after-hours recoveries Patient ratio of 3:1 or 2:1 depending on patient acuity, or 1:5 if floating to MS overflow/PCU Monthly department volume of approximately 175 patients Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Required to work every third weekend No on-call requirements Floating required to MS Telemetry unit with a 6:1 ratio Uses Cerner EMR Requirements Active RN license (IN or Compact) Current ACLS and BLS certification Valid driver's license required 1-2 years of critical care experience required Critical care skills required; ECMO and trauma ERRT experience not required Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Provide critical care nursing services to vent-dependent and critically ill patients Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be accepted RTO requests must be less than one week Candidates who worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered
