Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Job Description

Description:
1. Accurately assess and perform basic nursing procedures required for all patients, include Emergency Room. Report changes in patient status to physician and other appropriate personnel. 2. Teach patients/families health promotion and maintenance, including pre- and post-operative care. 3. Initiate emergency care per department policy. 4. Assist physician with examinations, procedures, rounds and other processes related to direct patient care. 5. Prepare and document administration of medications - rectal, topical, oral and parenteral - according to department policy. 6. Cooperates with other personnel and physician to achieve patient care objectives and maintain the standard of care.
