Setting:
Critical access hospital Responsibilities Provide direct patient care on a Med Surg Tele unit, including assessment, monitoring, and regular rounds. Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; observe for adverse reactions and document responses. Monitor telemetry, interpret findings, and react promptly to changes in patient status in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Perform accurate documentation in the electronic health record; participate in care coordination, discharge planning, and provisional safety checks. Collaborate with physicians, case management, rehab and ancillary staff to plan and deliver evidence-based care. Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care; ensure safe handoffs during transfers. Requirements Current RN license in Kansas (or eligible for licensure under a compact arrangement) and in good standing. BLS for Healthcare Providers required; ACLS preferred. Minimum 1 year of Med Surg Tele or acute care nursing experience. Ability to work nights and adapt to schedule variations; capable of handling high-acuity medical-surgical patients. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
