Rural acute-care care environment Responsibilities Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to OB/GYN patients across admission, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods as assigned. Monitor fetal status and maternal vitals; assist with routine examinations and procedures; administer medications and perform clinical assessments per protocol. Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Document care in the electronic medical record; maintain accurate patient charts and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance. Educate patients and families on prenatal, perinatal, postpartum, and newborn care, discharge instructions, and follow-up needs as appropriate. Support patient safety initiatives and infection prevention practices consistent with best practices and facility policies.
