Schedule:

Coverage 24-hour operations 7 days per week, 365 days per year

Shifts:

6:45 AM•7:15 PM or 6:45 PM•7:15 AM Education Requirements Associates of Science in Nursing (BSN) from a college or university accredited by: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) , or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Experience & Certifications Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Labor and Delivery nursing within the past 2 years

Certification•current and valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) OR Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification•current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) & Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association Active, unrestricted RN license in the United States Key Responsibilities Provide a full range of nursing care , including triage, patient assessment, monitoring, and implementation of treatment plans. Execute physicians' orders within standard nursing guidelines and document all care accurately. Offer patient education and emotional support throughout the care process. Ability to perform or assist in the following procedures as an L&D registered nurse is required but not limited to: Incision and drainage Bandage Amnioinfusion, Amniocentesis Remove foreign bodies as appropriate Deliver babies Perform venous punctures for lab studies and interpret results Draw arterial blood gasses for evaluation and interpret results Suture simple lacerations Remove sutures Secure and maintain an adequate airway Splint and stabilize traumatic injuries to extremities Administer intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications as appropriate Stabilize and splint injuries as appropriate Secure and maintain adequate intravenous access Bakri balloon placement Intrauterine catheter placement Stabilization of newborn for potential transport Epidural and spinal placement Circumcisions Vaginal Checks Vaginal speculum NSTs Evaluation process Circulating OR Phase II recovery Water-assisted labor Foley placement Assisted deliveries•vacuum and forceps Fetal scalp electrode placement External cephalic version Blood transfusion Join Our Team If you're a dedicated Registered Nurse passionate about maternal and child health and committed to serving those who serve our country, we'd love to hear from you.
