HCA Healthcare is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse for the CV Prep and Recovery unit. In this role, you will prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures, monitor them post-procedure, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include IV starts, medication administration, cardiac monitoring, and patient and family education. You will collaborate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe recovery, respond to emergencies, and follow evidence-based protocols. Responsibilities Prepare patients for cardiovascular procedures, including assessments and IV starts Monitor patients in recovery, including cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and pain levels Administer medications and follow cardiovascular care protocols Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care Respond to emergencies and changes in patient condition promptly Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record Maintain infection control, patient safety, and quality standards Use monitoring and infusion equipment safely and effectively Support continuous improvement and participate in unit-based initiatives Required Skills Cardiac monitoring and telemetry IV insertion and infusion management Medication administration and reconciliation Post-procedure and PACU-style recovery care ECG/EKG interpretation Patient assessment and triage Electronic Medical Record (EMR) documentation Airway and hemodynamic monitoring basics Infection control and patient safety Patient and family education
