A Registered Nurse provides medical care and treatment, educates patients about their conditions, and provides emotional support to patients and families. Works in hospitals, schools, clinics or community health centers. Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. May work as an advanced practice specialists and prescribe medications in addition to offering specialty care.

Job Summary and Qualifications Under direct supervision of the Director/Charge Nurse, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care. Nursing care is provided in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, applicable state nursing practice acts, ANA Standards of Practice and Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation policies and procedures under the guidelines of the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR).
Schedule:
Full-time/Days; 32 hours weekly (4 8-HR Shifts with rotating days off); limited Saturday coverage (up to 2 hours).
Environment:
Fast-paced, high-volume patient stream while collaborating with a multidisciplinary cardiac team and rapidly charting precise clinical data.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate from school of nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure required Excellent interpersonal skills required BCLS certification required upon hire. ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire A minimum of 2 years clinical experience on a telemetry, step down or intensive care unit. Preferably previous experience in a Cardiopulmonary Rehab Unit.
