Shift Details:
12-hour night shifts 19:00-07:00, three nights per weekWhat You'll Experience:
Elevate your psychiatric nursing practice with direct patient care responsibilities in the emergency department, exposure to complex crisis interventions, and significant professional autonomy. In this highly independent position, you'll make vital assessments that influence patient outcomes and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—broadening your expertise and refining leadership skills. Enjoy meaningful adventures during your downtime, from vibrant city explorations to tranquil moments in local parks.Key Qualifications:
Active KS or Compact RN license Current BLS certification Minimum of 2 years' recent psychiatric nursing experience (hospital setting preferred) Skilled in behavioral assessments, managing violent or high-risk patients, and determining psych patient disposition in emergency settings Capable of independent practice, especially for complex cases in the ED Not open to new graduatesCore Responsibilities:
Deliver direct care to two high-risk psychiatric ED patients, including medication administration, de-escalation, and safe use of restraints Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, set disposition plans, and coordinate placements or safety plans Participate in Behavioral Response Team calls throughout the facility to stabilize escalated situations and support bedside staffExceptional Benefits & Perks:
