Qualifications:
Valid RN license in the state of Kansas Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred but not required Strong clinical and communication skills Compassionate and patient-focused care approach Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a facility with zero deficiencies, we pride ourselves on maintaining the highest standards of care. In this role, you will be essential in providing top-quality care and ensuring the efficient operation of our facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, clinical expertise, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
Duties:
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the nursing unit Provide direct patient care and administer medications as needed Assess patient conditions and collaborate with healthcare team to develop individualized care plans Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans Perform phlebotomy and other basic laboratory procedures Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and procedures Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks) Assist with emergency situations, including ventilating patients and providing basic life support Administer injections and medications as prescribed by physicians Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals Specialize in dementia care, providing support and assistance to patients with memory impairments Assist with tube feeding for patients who require nutritional support
Skills:
Valid nursing license in Kansas Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations Experience working with elderly individuals Familiarity with electronic medical record systems Experience administering injections and medications Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities Join our dedicated team of healthcare professionals and make a difference in the lives of our patients.
