  • ICU Labette Health is seeking a compassionate and skilled PRN Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit.
Our ICU nurses provide advanced, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in a supportive environment where teamwork, expertise, and compassion make a difference. Summary The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to critically ill patients by assessing complex patient needs, implementing individualized care plans, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide high-quality, evidence-based care to critically ill patients Monitor, assess, and respond to complex patient needs using advanced equipment and protocols Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital policies Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams Accurately document and communicate patient status and care interventions Respond effectively to changes in patient condition and emergency situations Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, HIPAA, and regulatory standards Support a culture of patient safety and continuous improvement Qualifications Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Kansas or compact license BLS certification required ACLS certification required or must be obtained within 6 months Critical Care or Step-Down experience preferred Strong candidates without ICU experience may be considered for training Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, and clinical skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
