The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing/long-term care facility, ensuring clinical standards, resident safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities:

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate resident care according to facility policies and care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy per orders and protocols. Supervise and delegate tasks to NAs and ancillary staff. Monitor and document resident condition changes; initiate appropriate interventions. Coordinate with physicians, therapists, social services, and families. Participate in care conferences, admission/discharge planning, and interdisciplinary team meetings. Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and complete required reports. Ensure infection control, safety, and compliance with state and federal regulations. Mentor staff and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

Minimum qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of employment. Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Experience in skilled nursing / long-term care preferred but not required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS as applicable/desired. Strong assessment, communication, critical thinking, leadership, documentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays as required. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).

Physical/other requirements:

Ability to lift/move residents and stand for extended periods. Pass background check, drug screen, and TB/health screening per facility policy.
