The Medical/Surgical Telemetry Unit at Deaconess Henderson is a 45-bed unit caring for adult inpatient and observation patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and telemetry needs. From diabetes, COPD, pneumonia, and asthma to CHF, post-MI, CVA, GI conditions, and post-surgical recovery, this unit offers the variety and pace that help nurses build confidence, sharpen clinical judgment, and grow into highly capable clinicians. What makes this unit stand out is the breadth of experience it provides. Nurses care for patients with both acute and chronic conditions, work closely with an interdisciplinary team, and play an essential role in coordinating care, educating families, and helping patients move toward recovery.
