Works under the supervision of a physician or other specialist, and serves as the primary point of care for patients in a hospital setting. May specialize in emergency room work, or treatment for a particular condition, or specialize in working with infants, the elderly or other patient groups. Our team is made up of individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. We are looking for an experienced Advanced Practice Registered Nurse to join our team.
About the job:
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment Order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviation from normal Perform therapeutic procedures, Primary care, and Urgent care Notate findings and treatment course in patient chart including follow-up notes Instruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens. Communicate with patients regarding testing results, follow-up care, and additional information Nurse Practitioner will continue to accept patients until posted closing time Work as part of the overall team by answering the phone, completing referrals, patient callbacks and other activities as requested Abides by company policies and procedures.
Required education:
BSN, MSN
preferred. Employee must have successful completion of an approved nurse practitioner program.
LICENSES
Nurse Practitioner licensed in the state of Kentucky. Certification by national certifying organization.
