13-Week Contract Schedule Information Night shift 7:00 PM-7:30 AM 13-week assignment Labor & Delivery RN Requirements Active Registered Nurse license valid in Kentucky Minimum of two years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience Strong maternal and fetal assessment skills Experience monitoring fetal heart rates, contractions, maternal vital signs, and labor progression Experience administering medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments Ability to recognize and respond to maternal or fetal emergencies Strong clinical-documentation and patient-education skills Effective communication and interdisciplinary teamwork abilities Compassionate and family-centered approach to patient care Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients during the night shift. Complete comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments. Monitor fetal heart rates, contractions, maternal vital signs, and changes in condition. Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, and treatments. Assist physicians and clinical staff during labor, delivery, and related procedures. Provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum nursing support as assigned. Recognize and respond promptly to maternal or fetal emergencies. Prepare patients and equipment for labor, delivery, and other procedures. Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, recovery, and newborn care. Provide emotional support to patients and their families. Maintain complete and accurate clinical documentation. Coordinate care with physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Follow all medication-safety, infection-control, and facility procedures. Perform additional nursing duties as assigned.
