1 Description American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a KY or compact RN license and evening shift availability. Details Work in a 38-bed Emergency Department providing urgent and emergent care via EMS, walk-in, or hospital transfer Unit includes a specialized isolation room with negative/positive pressure for critical and infectious cases Evening shift (2nd shift), 12p-12a 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week Weekend and holiday coverage required Requirements Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred No prior nursing experience required, though previous experience is preferred Ability to assess age-specific patient safety issues and implement appropriate safety devices Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments, prioritize care needs, and implement individualized treatment plans Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including patient and family education Delegate and oversee care tasks performed by other team members Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care team members to ensure holistic, patient-centered care
